Smith Haven Mall has gotten better over the years, but it is still one of the least desirable malls on Long Island. The floor map is basically a big cross, and you can actually walk from one side of the mall to the other in less than 2 minutes. Since this is the "biggest" mall in my area, it does get the job done for shopping during the holidays and such, but other than that I rarely ever go here spontaneously to go shopping. Reason being is because of the lack of stores. It just feels lacking with the small real estate they have, and I would much rather spend the time driving to the Roosevelt Field mall than here especially for the vast amount of stores Roosevelt Field offers.
I love this mall! It's so great and has so many places to park and shop. Its also a great place to bring a child, because of the kid stores and play area with many games right in front of Sears. The food court is awesome! There's many places to sit and eat, and I if you do go to the food court, you should really try sbarros, they have amazing pizza.

It's a great place! You can buy just about anything! From goods to food. People go there to buy stuff, hang out or both. There are well known stores such as Macy's, Sears and Dick's sporting goods. There are also many shops, restaurants, health food stores and Even a movie theater within walking distance.
The mall is well kept and updated. There are many stores to choose from. My only gripe is with the food court. The mall itself is in the 2000's but the food court is still stuck in the 1980's. I get it. It's a mall food court but there has to be some better options.
